One of the main problems with Congressional District 1 is that the same old ideas regurgitated over and over again.
Education has been taken over by bureaucrats who will not listen to parents. Those parents know exactly what is wrong with schools but are ignored. There is no direction in the Schools other than promoting social issues

There is no direction in the Schools other than promoting social issues and protecting the status quo. Schools must return to basics; "reading, writing and civics "how government works"
THEN, A WHOLE NEW WORLD FOR STUDENTS
BY STRESSING ALL OF THE ABOVE AND THE VARIOUS CURRICULA, OUR CHILDREN WILL THEN UNDERSTAND HISTORY AND HOW OUR NATION BEGAN, CIVICS, GOVERNMENT, LAW AND HOW THE LAW WORKS. ONE OF THE MOST BENEFICIAL THINGS WE CAN GIVE STUDENTS IS CHOICE.
We need to promote Trades, Plumbers, Electricians , Mechanic's "Cars are almost all computers these days.
NOT ALL STUDENTS ARE BOUND FOR COLLEGE. TEACHING TRADES WILL PUT AMERICA BACK ON TOP.

Washington is being represented by the current representative. Our current Representative, the "AOC" of the Southwest, does not represent our interests but the interests of lobbyists. The Current representative is a puppet of the east coast progressive movement and could very well be called "socialist".

Melanie Stansbury stood on the floor of Congress and held up a ridiculous sign that said "this is not normal". In front of the world, she shamed herself and...ALL OF NEW MEXICO.

Melanie Stansbury (D-N.M.), who was standing along the aisle in view of cameras as Trump walked into the chamber and greeted Republicans, held up a handwritten sign that said: “This is not normal’ There is a time and place for protest but at the State of the Union was not the time or the place. It was total disrespect of the Office of the President of the United States, the Citizens of the United States and an embarrassment to the Residents of New Mexico who she claims to represent". -by Emily Brooks, The Hill.

The new clipping was from the Albuquerque Tribune, a candidate profile. The Story behind the “Carlton Pennington WHO?”
In 1997 there was a shock jock on the afternoon drive time between 3 and 6. His name was Chris Jackson who worked for KKOB the 50,000 watt station was home to Rush Limbaugh. KKOB offered every candidate for Mayor in 1997; 2 hours of free air time to run a show; 1 time from 7pm to 9 pm. All Candidates accepted the offer except for Carlton Pennington.
Carlton was criticized as snubbing a gift from the Gods, the free air time. Carlton who has a BS Degree in communications; Radio and Television thought about the Offer and said "Thanks but no thanks".
For the next 5 or so weeks, in the morning drive with Larry Ahrens he would mention that I declined the offer. Chris Jackson on the other hand being a “Shock Jock” for 5 weeks yelled on the air every hour several times per day: “Carlton Who?”.
The Pennington campaign placed 15 signs around Albuquerque that said “Carlton Who?”
When I went for the on air interviews with Larry and Chris; Larry Ahrens asked me to explain the decline. I told Larry I will explain to Chris Jackson. When I showed up for Chris Jackson; he would not look me in the eyes, he was going to “get me”. As the interview began; 1st question: why did you not take the Free Air time?
My answer was simple. I said, I'm a businessman, I calculated how much the free air time was worth vs. You said my name everyday for over 5 weeks. It was an economic decision. Wherein Chris Jackson looked me in the eyes and smiled as if he couldn't believe what I had done.
I then told him about the 15 big signs placed in I40, I25, and Coors Blvd, that were 4 feet by 4 feet in a diamond format that said “Carlton Who?" I thanked him for the free advertisements, and it was one of the best interviews I had on the campaign trail.
